APPM has reduced GHGs emissions by 41,9% compared to 1990 levels

In 2018 statements on GHGs emissions of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC for 2017 were successfully verified for the compliance with requirements of ISO 14064-1-2006 Greenhouse gases - Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals. The report for 2017 includes direct emissions and energy indirect emissions, other indirect emissions.

According to the report on GHGs emissions for 2017, the GHGs emissions of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC (incl.all subsidiary companies and their branches) totally amounted to 1 802 046 t СО2 equivalents, that is 1 301 375 t СО2 equivalents or 41,9% less than in 1990 and 18,1% lower than the voluntary limit for GHGs emissions set by the company for the period up to 2020 in amount of 2 200 000 t CO2 equivalents per year.

The specific GHGs emissions for 1 t of cooking pulp amounted 2,088 t СО2 equivalents/t of pulp in 2017, that is 5,1% lower than the voluntary set limit.
