In connection with the program of global modernization of board production Arkhangelsk PPM, JSC began implementing sub-project on re-equipment of ACS systems.

As it was mentioned in mill’s administration of information technologies, the first step of staged upgrade will include installation of new modular data processing center (MDPC), designed for arrangement of network equipment and systems of production.

MDPC was manufactured by one of the leading Russian equipment manufacturers in Saint-Petersburg. At the moment, testing and acceptance of systems is being performed. Then, the equipment will be disassembled into modules in order to deliver it to Novodvinsk.

New MDPC will be installed on the territory of Arkhangelsk PPM.

The cost of this APPM project with account of construction of site and communications is 40 mln. rub.

Visually, data processing center is the building covered with branded sandwich panels with 10 supports for equipment, system of the so-called hot and cold aisles. MDPC includes monitoring, fire-fighting, security, cooling and uninterruptible power supply systems.

The construction and arrangement of the facility is carried out with account of possible DPC extension of APPM. “Nowadays, Pulp Mill Holding is growing rapidly in the direction of forming of optimized vertically-integrated system in the territory of Arkhangelsk, Moscow, Kaluga and Voronezh regions, and this is the reason why later on we will perform full integration of all processes based on updated DPC in Novodvinsk” – the specialists of APPM IT-department said.

It will be recalled that at the present day three sites of APPM affiliated company, Arkhbum, JSC, work on SAP R/3 platform. Works on site integration in Vorsino, Kaluga region - Arkhbum Tissue Group and Voronezh company asset - “Europak” are being performed actively.
