In the end of February, the supply chains recertification audit in accordance with the requirements of Forest Stewardship Council® was held at Arkhangelsk PPM.
The FSC is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit making organization founded to promote responsible forest management around the world. The FSC certification ensures a reliable contact between responsible production and consumption of forest products; it makes an opportunity for private consumers and companies to make purchases for the benefit of people, the environment and business.
No mismatches were found during the recertification audit at APPM. Based on the results of the audit, the certification body concluded that the existing system at APPM (trademark license code - FSC-С002853) meets the FSC standards requirements for supply chains certification and trademarks use. The mill obtained a new FSC certificate with 5-year validity period.
First time the Arkhangelsk PPM obtained the FSC-certificate in 2006, when it was the first among Russian P&P enterprises to launch finished FSC-certified products (bleached hardwood sulphate pulp) on the market. Now, the entire range of the APPM's finished products are included in the list of FSC product groups.
According to the results of the audit in February of this year, in addition to the new FSC certificate, the Arkhangelsk PPM received approval of the internal control system for the use of FSC trademarks developed at the mill. Earlier any case of mentioning the FSC trademarks in the news, media, social nets, product catalogs, etc. had to be approved by the certification body, now the organizational development management has the right to issue such permits on its own, saving time and money.
