On August 20, 2021, a ceremonial opening of the first line of a new site of ARKHBUM JSC took place in Zavolzhskiy district of Ulyanovsk. The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and Acting Governor Alexey Russkikh participated in the ceremony.

"Today we are present at the launch of the corrugated board production plant of ARKHBUM; this is the first stage of the project. The company has proved itself as a major investor that develops this direction in Russia. We expect that the plant will produce 5 million m2 of corrugated board this year and it will reach 15 million m2 per month by 2025. This will provide additional jobs and tax revenues that will ensure comfortable life for the residents of the region," said Denis Manturov.

The total cost of the investment project of ARKHBUM JSC for the construction of a new plant for the production of corrugated products is estimated at 4.7 billion rubles, 1.7 billion rubles of which is for equipment.

As Acting Governor of the region Alexey Russkikh pointed out, 300 well-paid new jobs will be created for Ulyanovsk citizens.

Irina Sherstneva, CEO of ARKHBUM JSC, told about the future development plans of the company according to which the branch will reach its full capacity in 2023, and its annual capacity will be 192 million m2.

As Vladimir Krupchak, Investment Director of PMH GmbH, stated earlier, the packaging business remains among the holding business priorities. As a strategic goal, Pulp Mill Holding considers leadership in this market sector.
