The supplier of raw materials to the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill - the Titan Group of Companies drew up a balance of the results of rafting navigation. This year, the Holding has increased the transportation scope by water by 20% year-on-year to 845 thousand m3 of wood.

As reported by the Titan Group of Companies, the scope growth was possible despite the low water: in 2021, most of the navigation along the Northern Dvina was at abnormally low levels. The low-water level was registered especially prolonged in the Verkhnetoyemsky district.

The rafting traditionally carried out by rafts and barges. This year, 467 thousand m³ of pulpwood bolts were delivered to Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill JSC, including 20 thousand m³ of raw timber by rafts.

The river transportation of timber in the Titan Group of Companies is done by Belomorskaya Splavnaya Kompaniya Ltd (BSK). Presently, BSK is the largest shipping company on the Northern Dvina, it owns more than 100 fleet units (tugs, barges, floating cranes). The Company is engaged in logistics, as well as in construction and repair of ships. In 2021, BSK received the status of a resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The investment project consists in the development of industrial sites of the enterprise, as well as the serial construction of new shallow-draught tugs of the modern Yaroslav project. In 2022 alone, 353 million rubles are provided for these purposes.

Thanks to the consistent work on expanding and modernizing the fleet, the Titan Group annually increases the scope of timber transportation by water. It is an important activity for the Holding: by delivering timber in rafts and barges, Titan Group reduces the load on the road network and the region's ecology. For the next navigation it is planned to increase the transportation of timber by water to one million m³.
