The results of the regional stage of the competition was summed up in Arkhangelsk. The competition was held among enterprises and companies that have achieved significant results in social policy. The main criteria are the events implemented by the enterprise and their specific results.

In 2021 six enterprises in seven nominations took part in the regional stage of the competition "Organization of high social performance in Russia".  JSC "Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mil"l won prizes in three categories at once:

1 st place in the nomination "For the reduction of occupational injuries and occupational illnesses in industrial enterprises";

1st place in the nomination "For the formation of a healthy lifestyle in industrial enterprises";

3rd place in the nomination "For the development of human resources in industrial enterprises".

- Comfortable and safe working conditions, social protection of employees, stability and the possibility of professional growth are the main priorities of our enterprise's personnel policy," Olga Savvina, Administrative Director of Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill JSC, comments on the results of the competition.

The work on the development of human resources and the formation of a healthy lifestyle has been established at the APPM at a high level: a system of material and non-material motivation of employees has been developed, large-scale work has been organized to train and improve the professional skills of the mill's employees, and production achievements through established performance indicators are directly reflected in the level of labour remuneration.

APPM has an extensive social support program for employees: financial assistance in difficult life situations, a corporate pension program, additional medical insurance, summer children's health holidays. The employees are given an opportunity to do various sports in the gyms, at the stadium and in the swimming pool, the committee for physical culture and sports promotion arranges various sports competitions among employees, a cash award is provided for passing the GTO standards.

Pulp and paper production is a complex technological process associated with the operation of a large number of units and the use of hazardous chemicals. There are more than four thousand employees at the mill. The results of the competition showed that the safety and health issues at the APPM are also solved very effectively.

– In 2019 – 2020, we have done a lot of work to identify hazards and assess occupational risk, as well as all sources that can lead to injury at work. Thanks to the developed set of measures, we manage to maintain professional risks at an acceptable, controlled level," Dmitry Anikiev, Head of the Occupational Safety and Health Department of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC, comments on the results of the competition. – In terms of the prevention of occupational illnesses, in average up to a thousand of our employees annually receive rehabilitation treatment at the local sanatorium-preventorium "Zhemchuzhina Severa" and in other sanatoriums all over the country. In cooperation with NSMU, the issue of medical check-up of APPM employees is being worked out.

In general, in 2021 the company's expenses for personnel development and social programs amounted to 310 million rubles.

– For the first time we took part in two new nominations of the competition and managed to become winners in them. The winning places in the competition are a high assessment of the effectiveness of APPM social policy, said Dmitry Zylev, General Director of Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill JSC.

The competition "Organization of high social performance in Russia" has been held annually since 2000 in order to attract public attention to the successful solution of social issues at enterprises.
