In connection with the predicted increase in the incidence of Omicron-strain COVID-19, it is planned to organize the production of liquefied medical oxygen in Novodvinsk. The tests will start next week.
The oxygen will be produced within the area of the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill.
“Given the negative scenario for the development of the epidemiological situation in the region, the head of the Arkhangelsk region, Alexander Tsybulsky, turned to us with a request to restore the previously preserved technical oxygen production shop in the area of the Mill, which was transferred to a contractor in the 2000s,” comments Vladimir Krupchak, a member of the Board of Directors of APPM, Director of Investments at Pulp Mill Holding, - we could not but respond to the appeal of the head of the region."
The Mill provides infrastructural support to the owner of the new facility.
The expenses of the Arkhangelsk Pulp and paper Mill will amount to about 1.5 million rubles.
It is planned to start the production of liquefied medical oxygen within a month.
The program of assistance to regional medical institutions in all areas, where Pulp Mill Holding operates in Russia was adopted at the end of March 2020 by Vladimir Krupchak, Investment Director of the holding.
In particular, over two years under the conditions of COVID-19, the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill provided assistance to Novodvinsk and regional specialized institutions in the amount of over 60 million rubles.
