Arkhangelsk PPM JSC invests heavily in the maintenance of Novodvinsk social infrastructure facilities, which provide services, including those for the public good. The mill provides targeted financing of social and cultural facilities included in the structure of the mill’s subsidiary, Byt Jsc, which was established in 1996. The volume of investments in 2019 amounted to 19 million rubles, including financing of the Children's Sports Development by the Arkhangelsk PPM ”(maintenance of children's sports sections).
Social and cultural facilities of “Byt”: sports and fitness complex, which includes a sports complex with indoor gyms, boxing hall, women's sports club «Imidzh», gym, open football field, and open hockey court; swimming pool "Vodoley" with a gym; sanatorium "Zhemchuzhina Severa"; The Palace of Culture and the hotel "Uyut".
At last year end, Arkhangelsk PPM invested 43 million rubles in sports events. To make it possible for the mill’s employees to go in for sports, and to organize competitions, sports facilities were rented at the sports complex of JSC “Byt” (gyms, gymnastics hall, stadium, pool, gym).
On May 9, 2019, the 54th traditional relay race for the prizes of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC was held, in which 80 teams took part, including 4 male and 3 female teams of the APPM workers. Annual family competitions were held, 46 families took part in the "Winter Fun Games" and 108 families in competitions in the gyms.
Throughout the year, competitions were held as part of the open integrated sports contest of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC, in which 8 female and 10 male teams of the APPM competed. The procedure and conditions for passing the GTO standards have been organized.
The participation of the APPM representative teams in regional competitions was organized: Futsal Championship and Cup of the Arkhangelsk Region, Floorball Championship and Cup of the Arkhangelsk Region, Floorball Cup of the Head of Severodvinsk, Floorball Championship of Severodvinsk.
The implementation of the project “Dancing for Health” continued.
Free classes at the sports complex for non-working pensioners of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC were organized, a Health Day was held for them (ski competitions).
